Day 48: Península Valdés

Today I joined a tour to visit Península Valdés. The peninsula - a world heritage site - is a huge natural reserve that is home to several thousand sheep and lots of other wildlife.

The nature and wildlife there were incredibly gorgeous. I don't feel up to the task of describing it - my words simply wouldn't do it justice. So I'll just let some pictures speak :-)

There are at least two Rheas on this picture:

Guanacos:

Sea elephants:

Sea lions:

Magellanic penguins:

Some of the gorgeous landscape on the peninsula:

Whales:

And here's a seagull picking at a whale:

...and all of this in just one day! I'm still completely blown away ;-)
