I spent most of the day in the bus - the journey from Puerto Madryn took about 20 hours. I was lucky this time and got to sit right in the front of the top level. The patagonian landscape is gorgeous: a steppe covered by low vegetation, stretching on as far as the eye can see, dotted with sheep and wildlife. I especially enjoyed spotting guanacos - they are just too cute ;-)
In the afternoon, I inquired at various bus companies for trips to Chile, the nearby glacier, and my destinations after that - with the result that I now have a rough plan for the next two weeks. It seems like there is a lot of hiking coming up :-)
