So, another rafting tour. This time even more fun: on the scale from 1 to 6, the Trancura river had class 4 and 5 rapids (compared to 3+ last time).
I also remembered to take my camera - it is waterproof after all - but it isn't really feasible to take out the camera and start shooting pictures in the middle of a rapid. So I only took pictures in quiet water, such as this (with the guide):
This waterfall was a bit too much, so we had to get out and go around (and got to jump back in the water from a height of about 6m). The guides attached ropes to the empty rafts to bring them down the waterfall and, more importantly, back under control.
At the end of the tour, we got to swim a little. The water was bloody cold, in spite of the wet suit...
In the evening, we had a delicious asado in the hostel. It was quite different from the last asado I had in Argentina: there it was big chunks of meat roasted for two hours, then cut up and eaten with Chimichurri. Here it was many different kinds of meat (chicken, pork, beef, sausages) and vegetables (zucchini, peppers, onions) all cut up, first roasted separately and then again all together.
I'm not write sure which of the two I prefer - they're both very very yummy!
