This morning I arrived in Huaraz, main entrance point to the Cordillera Blanca and Huascarán national park. In my travel guide it is announced as Peru's trekking and climbing capital - at least the third trekking capital I have encountered in South America so far ;-)
Apart from visiting a bunch of tour agencies to find out what there is to do here, I only had time to admire the wonderful view from my hostel's rooftop terrace:
I hope the rest of the Cordillera Blanca is as nice as this view promises!
